JIAYIN ZHANG

Jiayin Zhang completed his bachelor’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Melbourne and a Master’s in Pharmaceutical Science from Monash University. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, supervised by Associate Professor David Thal, Associate Professor Celine Valant and Dr Jesse Mobbs. His research focuses on investigating the molecular basis of how atypical, bitopic, and hybrid bitopic agonists interact with and activate the M1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor. Outside the lab, Jiayin enjoys traveling to warm destinations and doing lots of scuba diving.
