AYMAN M. Y. SULIMAN

Dr. Ayman M. Y. Suliman joined Duke Kunshan University on Nov 4th, 2024, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in RNA Biology, reporting to Assistant Professor of Biology Dr. Xianzhi Lin. His main responsibilities include experimental design, protocol development, execution, and data analysis in RNA biology. He also regularly presents findings at meetings, seminars, and conferences and contributes to manuscript writing for publication. Dr. Suliman also plays a key role in supporting grant applications and mentoring undergraduate students. He earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Gezira in March 2008 and a master's degree in chemical engineering from Yangzhou University in June 2016. In June 2017, Dr. Suliman was awarded the prestigious CAS-TWAS President's Fellowship, allowing him to pursue his Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Science and Technology of China, which he completed in July 2021. Before joining Duke Kunshan University, Dr. Suliman was a postdoctoral fellow at the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, starting in April 2022. His research there focused on developing innovative organic synthesis methods, advancing photocatalysts, and exploring the potential of lignocellulosic biomass.
